Hi, I'm Matt

A Mancunian  Photographer based in New Forest UK.

My photography started from an early age, and I loved spending time in the landscapes of Wales and England with family and my camera,

As a child who loved being outdoors, a camera always accompanied my adventures, whether a Kodak point-and-shoot or a 35mm SLR.

Now living in the  New Forest  I've grown my passion in to a profession and I am dedicated more than ever to producing images that will show our beautiful island in it finest.

Working with 35mm film cameras taught me the basics and gave me an easier transition to DSLR cameras.

With the knowledge I have gained throughout my years in the field I am proud to offer prints, one- to one tuition,  commercial projects, and freelance work.

Having sold images worldwide, produced images for national publications as well a working with household names to produces images for media, I am proud to capture the feeling of the natural world through the lens of my camera and to share my work here.

Away from my Photography, I am a Husband to my beautiful wife Olivia, a stepdad to Ella and Freya, and a full-time dog dad to our three rescue dogs, Mia, Daisy, and Suzy.

Thanks you for stopping by.

Early Beginnings

Born and raised amidst the picturesque landscapes of rural England, Matthew Wardle developed an affinity for nature from a young age. His formative years were spent exploring the rolling hills, verdant valleys, and rugged coastlines that would later become the subjects of his photography. It was during these impressionable years that Wardle first picked up a camera, initially drawn to the idea of capturing the beauty he witnessed in his surroundings.

Journey into Photography

Wardle's journey into photography was one marked by curiosity, experimentation, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. Armed with nothing more than a basic DSLR camera and a boundless enthusiasm for his craft, he began honing his skills, spending countless hours studying the works of renowned landscape photographers and mastering the technical intricacies of photography.

As Wardle's proficiency behind the lens grew, so too did his artistic vision. He developed a keen eye for composition, light, and atmosphere, learning to harness the natural elements to evoke emotion and intrigue in his photographs. With each click of the shutter, Wardle sought not only to capture the physical beauty of the landscapes before him but also to convey the sense of wonder and awe they inspired within him.

At the heart of Matthew Wardle's photography lies a profound reverence for the natural world. He views his role as a photographer not merely as a documentarian but as a steward of the land, entrusted with the task of preserving and celebrating its magnificence for future generations. Wardle's approach to photography is characterized by a deep sense of mindfulness and respect for his surroundings, often spending hours immersing himself in a location before ever raising his camera.

For Wardle, the essence of landscape photography lies in its ability to capture fleeting moments of beauty and tranquility amidst the chaos of modern life. He seeks out scenes of serenity and solitude, where the passage of time seems to stand still and the boundaries between the natural and the ethereal blur. Through his lens, Wardle invites viewers to pause, to breathe, and to reconnect with the world around them in ways they may have long forgotten.

His photographs are imbued with a sense of intimacy and immediacy, drawing viewers into the heart of the landscape and inviting them to experience its beauty firsthand.

Wardle's signature style is characterized by its simplicity and elegance. He eschews elaborate post-processing techniques in favor of a more minimalist approach, allowing the natural beauty of the landscape to speak for itself. His use of light and shadow is masterful, evoking a sense of drama and atmosphere that lends his photographs a timeless quality.
